Installation «Romance»

The artist Ceal Floyer has created the performance Romance especially for Manifesta 11. One of her texts was translated simultaneously into Italian and French. The performance of the two interpreters was recorded in the main building of the University of Zurich. The audio installation shows how the two Romance languages – playfully and absurdly – fail. The translation booths used will be exhibited in Zurich’s Helmhaus museum.
