Paradise Retreat

Paradise Retreat provides temporary refuge. Simon Heusser’s installation on the roof terrace takes its inspiration from spiritual retreats, while also echoing the Zürichberg’s cult of the body in the early 20th century as well as today’s wellness movement. The oscillation between Eastern and Western views of the body equally informs the performance with Simon Heusser and Bruno Spoerri: a public healing session will be conducted with students from the Rietveld Academie Amsterdam (Radio Rietveld). Special-edition terry cloth towels have been created for the session.
